Senior Consultant

Community Resilience Consulting, LLC is seeking a senior level consultant to support hazard mitigation planning, climate adaptation planning, GIS analysis, proposal writing, and technical research. The selected candidate will be responsible for effectively and efficiently supporting multiple simultaneous projects for different clients.

Our work helps reduce risks from natural hazards, support vulnerable populations from disproportionate impacts, and implement mitigative and adaptive solutions. Annual Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience) 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree Preferred)

  • Ten to fifteen years of planning, engineering, hazard mitigation, and climate adaptation experience

  • Experience using ESRI’s GIS software and FEMA’s Hazus software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities to complete work in a timely manner, despite changes in workload or assignment, pressure of deadlines, or competing priorities.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Works well within a team structure.

  • Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to develop plans and reports including mapping and GIS analysis.

  • Lead and sometimes support the development and delivery of client projects, including incorporating data into informative reports.

  • Develop grant applications for clients.

  • Support proposal writing and preparation of presentations.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, consulting partners, team members and community members to ensure successful project outcomes and identify opportunities for future collaboration.

Work Environment:

Generally, the consultant will work in an office environment and use computer and telephone to conduct business. This position may require travel which will be intermittent and scheduled based on client needs. During travel periods, the work environment will vary between an office setting and field setting.
